Hate to say it, but I was kinda disappointed with this film. While the acting was great, the story was too complex for me to fully comprehend at first as I had no idea what was going on for the first hour. Once I started to piece together the story and realize what was going on, I enjoyed it a bit more. My main gripe: the pace of the movie was just WAY TOO SLOW for me. I wish it moved faster and was as intense as the movie trailer made it seem like it would be. After the movie, I had to go on Wikipedia and read the plot summary to see if I caught everything and clarify things I was confused about. Overall, it was just too slow placed and too complicated for some viewers who had never read the book like myself.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Oldman. Firth. Hardy. The brilliant cast alone is reason enough to see this film.
First Image of Tom Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises
The first image of Tom Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises has landed online… and it’s seriously exciting stuff. The movie’s official site has been gradually revealing the image, but some sneaky so-and-so on the Arkham City message board has found the whole image.
Unsurprisingly, it’s absolutely awesome.
Hardy doesn’t even need to look at the camera to exude toxic levels of menace, and it looks like Nolan and co have admirably risen to the task of making the Venom-enhanced super-soldier work within the series’ reality-based aesthetic. It looks like that time Hardy’s been putting in at the gym has been well spent too…
